Ways to Get Involved

Join a Committee

FTCSAA has several standing committees.  While only a Board Member can serve as committee chair, anyone can join a committee. If you want to sign up for a committee, you can do so by editing you member profile. 

Here is the list of standing committees:

Nominating Committee

Committee Chair: 

Select a slate of Elected Officers and Board Members for recommendation to the membership.


Membership Committee

Committee Chair: 

Encourage all qualified individuals to apply for membership in FTCSAA and maintain current membership list.


Education Committee

Committee Chair: 

Arrange speakers for the annual conference and attempt to obtain approval from The Florida Bar for CLE credits


Bylaws Review Committee

Committee Chair: Jennifer Mooney

Make recommendation[s] to the Board with proposed amendments to the Bylaws

Planning and Conference Committee

Committee Chair: 

Plan annual conference (i.e. ice breaker, socials, prizes)


Budget Committee

Committee Chair: Emily Kiger

Advise the Board of all FTCSAA expenditures and prepare a written budget for projected expenses


Communication Committee

Committee Chair: 

Inform members of FTCSAA's activities through different channels of communication, including the newsletter and website

Write an article for our newsletter:

We are always looking for ideas for articles and Staff Attorneys to write them.  Please change your member profile if you are interested. 


Serve as a Circuit Contact:

The Circuit Contact keeps the President up to date on the comings and goings of Staff Attorneys in their Circuit. Please contact FTCSAA Treasurer or change your member profile if you are interested. 

Find speaker for our conference:

Not sure you want to serve of the Education committee but you have an idea for the perfect speaker for our conference?  Please contact FTCSAA Treasurer or change your member profile. 


Join the Board:

Interested in becoming a Board Member? Please contact the Nominating Committee Chair or change your member profile. Keep in mind that you must be a paying member of FTCSAA to serve on the Board.
